Oracle Simphony (STS Gen 2) Integration Guide

Modified on Fri, 24 Jul at 9:29 AM

Connecting Oracle Simphony POS with Eventlin enables the platform to combine reservation data with actual guest spending data, creating a complete view of each guest interaction.

Once integrated, Eventlin can automatically capture and associate POS transactions with guests, allowing restaurants to understand not only who visited, but also what they purchased, how much they spent, how often they return, and what their preferences are.

Prerequisites

The restaurant must have:

  • Active Oracle Simphony POS installation
  • Access to Reporting & Analytics and Enterprise Management Console (EMC)
  • Appropriate Oracle permissions to create API accounts and modify Simphony configuration

Integration steps

  1. Log in to Simphony and navigate to Reporting & Analytics → Administration → System → API Accounts.
  2. Click Add API Account.
  3. Fill the form as follows:
    • Type: Simphony Transaction Services
    • Account Name: Eventlin_API

    • Email:  your Simphony administrator email

    • Authorization Scope: Selected → choose your property and revenue center(s)

    • Client Scope: BOTH

  4. Click Add and copy the provied data (shall be required in Step 12.)

  5. After the account is created, Oracle will send a welcome email to the provided email address with instructions for setting the password and activating the account.

  6. For Revenue Centers, go to RVC ParametersOptions enable 74 – Simphony Transaction Services Gen 2.

  7. For Workstations, go to Setup Workstations General tab and enable:

    • The employee must be assigned to the Revenue Center used by Eventlin
    • The employee must be active
  9. Log in to Eventlin Admin and select your venue to connect

  10. Go to Venue -> Integrations page

  11. Under the POS Systems section, locate Simphony and click Enable
