Reservation List, Plan & Timeline

Modified on Sun, 3 May at 9:49 AM

Once a reservation is created, it appears in the Reservation List.

Here, color indicators help you quickly spot potential issues. In this example, a dark orange table label means there is a problem with the table assignment. This can be caused by a conflict with the selected time or duration, or by a seating mismatch, for example when the assigned table does not have enough seats for the number of guests.

Tap the orange table field to open the Table Plan and assign a different table.

The Table Plan gives you a visual overview of all tables and their seating capacity. You can switch between different areas, such as Main room or Terrace, using the tabs at the top.

Tables are shown with their available seats, making it easy to see which ones can accommodate the reservation. In this example, the notice “4 covers left to assign” indicates that the current table does not fully match the number of guests. To resolve this, you can let Eventlin automatically assign a suitable table, or switch to the Manual tab to assign a table by entering the table number yourself, which will be shown in the next steps.

For the purpose of this exercise, we created a new reservation under a different guest name. After entering the reservation details, Eventlin automatically assigned a table based on availability and seating capacity. In this case, the system assigned table 26 to the reservation.

To demonstrate manual control, we then tapped the assigned table number, opened the Table Plan, and switched to the Manual tab. From there, we changed the table number to 12 and saved the selection. As a result, the reservation for Audrey Horne is now correctly assigned to table 12 and appears updated in the Reservation List.

In the following example, a new reservation is created for Shelly Johnson. All reservation details are entered, but the Table field is intentionally left empty during creation.

Once the reservation is saved, it appears in the reservation list with a question mark (?) in the table column. This indicates that no table has been assigned yet.

Tapping the question mark opens the table plan. From here, the system visually shows available tables, but no table is assigned automatically because the table field was left empty.

To resolve this, you can switch to the Manual tab and manually enter a table number. In this case, Table 3 is entered and saved.

After saving, the reservation list updates immediately, and Shelly Johnson is now correctly assigned to Table 3. This demonstrates how reservations without a predefined table can be completed later using the table plan and manual assignment.
